Tumblr? I don't even know her.
Hi!
So I am being pressured to switch to Tumblr.
I am not entirely convinced that such a switch is necessary, but I am trying it out for the rest of this week.
What do you think?
THE NEW GOOGLY MOOGLY!

Deedle dum delay.
Last night I, like many other turkey travelers, was stuck in the airport for four more hours than planned. Not only was my time in the airport productive, but entertaining as well! My darling friend Ben (of askjerves fame) sent me a few videos to pass the time. Here is one:

GOOGLY SHOUT-OUT!
Go to minute 2:02 and LOVE it. And while you're at it, listen to the whole song because it is all pretty sick.

Stop Motion Graffiti Amazingness.
MUTO a wall-painted animation by BLU from blu on Vimeo.
Someone showed this to me a few months ago and it rocked my world.

Oh!
So its been many days.
1. When I was in Stowe I was with a bunch of people who almost have me convinced that I should move my blog to tumblr, so that I'm in with the times.
2. Work is really busy and we are pitching many things.
3. My 25th birthday party is on Friday and I have SO much to do and make for it!
Anyway, I am image searching for work right now, and here is what I have for you.

Banksy!
Finally went to the new Banksy installation last night. If you have time to check it out, you definitely should! It closes tomorrow night but is open until midnight both today and tomorrow. Its free and is a pretty quick walk through, so even if you just have 15 or 20 min to swing by, its a unique experience. Part of what was really interesting to me was the mechanical craft behind it, the movements of these beings are so subtle and human, not overdone, and not particularly obvious. And, of course, there is the social commentary to think about...
In any case, here are some chicken nuggets and fish sticks.

A Walk It Out Walk-Off.
Many moons ago I found myself mesmerized and obsessed with this first mash-up of Walk It Out featuring Gwen Verdon dancing Fosse style. (For the original video, click here.)
Now, someone has just sent me a new Walk It Out starring Richard Simmons and all his sweatin' to the oldies cohorts!
Its time to practice your voting skills in today's Walk It Out Walk-Off. Which one wins?

Woyzeck at BAM.
Tonight, another night at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. This time its to see Woyzeck...
A man thrashes violently in a gigantic water tank, his limbs akimbo, his face a mask of sheer terror. Welcome to Woyzeck's world as imagined by Iceland's breakout actor/director GÃsli Örn Gardarsson—a place that, thanks to the hyper-athletic cast, explodes with energy. Set to a rollicking score by cult rock legend Nick Cave and The Dirty Three's violinist Warren Ellis, this is a Woyzeck for the angst-ridden 21st-century, a stunningly visceral take on Georg Büchner's classic tale of honorable intentions gone tragically wrong.

O R they?
"HIPSTER ALERT"
1:37pm
I was just in the elevator with Jason Schwartzman. The hipsterness was intense. He was simultaneously indifferent to society yet really into cool stuff.

For some more info from people who've actually been there, check out Wooster Collective.

Mini-golf PLUS Burning Man-Like Performances!??!?
Family vacay meets interactive art party for Figment's mini-golf open, an all-day picnic and sports competition on Governors Island. Manhattan's southern cousin is just a ferry ride away and hosts a course that resembles a gallery: nine artists created City of Dreams, a nine-hole world of labyrinthine fun. Disorient's Astral Carpet Lounge features a pink shade atop an angular lounge chair, while Jen Upchurch's Gotham City Superheroes is a collection of miniature skyscrapers. You probably have to wait your turn to get in the game, so bring a crew and some lunch so you can chillax on the green while watching Burning Man-style performances courtesy of Black Rock Arts Foundation. The course remains open through Sunday, October 12. (via Flavorpill)

Great Lake Swimmers.
Saw the Great Lake Swimmers at Union Hall last night in Brooklyn. The show was tiny, the venue was warm, and the music was beautiful.
Definitely check out their 2007 album, Ongiara. Here's one of my favorite tracks (it may take a moment or two to load):
